Judgment Day
Judgment Day
When your pale corpse rots inside a shed
It will find its way to where you’ve bled
Planting seeds in your veins, a poison you chose
Thorny vines from the garden you sowed
A great forest of infected trees
Surrounds yourself, climbs up to your knees
Fine, at first, but the further you go
Your toes will freeze and the shadows grow
It paints your future, present, and past
Visions haunting, creeping, deadly fast
From the pictures that hang your doomed heart, you welp;
Help! But nothing saves you from yourself
Miles of hidden, forgotten lore
With the truth at its core, what horror
Awaits in this dark abyss? The tempter’s kiss
You’ll realize your chance at bliss, is miss
It’s pressing shadows constrict your lungs
Slick, slithering arms rip out your tongue
Debts you chose which used to roam come crashing home
Consequences flow, collapsing catacomb
What wicked fun for onlooking eyes;
Eager, glowing pupils. Terrified
You’d be if you look too long, see what they see;
Sorry, worthless flesh wishing for cre-
-mation into nothing but ashes
Left to burn across your desert heart
Dust. A sea of sand. Its fiery wave, crashes
Washing spirit with blood, a new start
You will be dire
For glowing spires
To lead you home
But you’re alone
You lived in ire
Without the fire
You turned away
So here you’ll stay
It’s judgment day
It’s will will come
Your mind undone
Your soul o’ercome
The bet it won
You’ll never leave this horrid place
Through sweet dark depths you float
You let it in, you’ve gone too deep
Its fingers grip your throat
Such is the nightmare of your sins
Without a light it will always win
Such is the labyrinth of inescapable woe
The inevitable trap all sinners go
